Ready Set Tell It Tuesday Tip: Recreate the past. Yep. Look back.

Think of the traditions that mean the most to you this time of year. Is it heading to a holiday show? Going out for a fancy dinner and getting dressed up?

Hosting a cocktail party with friends? You can do all of those things and more. I was inspired by our kitchen light. It looked like the perfect place to hang ornaments, which reminded me of our Christmas date in the bar at the Lake Elmo Inn.

Without even saying a word about it, Tom walked into the kitchen and said, "Hey, are you bringing the Inn to our house?" Yes, that is exactly what I am doing. Even if it's just for the two of us,

we can look at the decorations and remember our past Christmas dates. We were also able to tell our daughters about our tradition.

December is also the time that we share dinner and drinks with friends (usually, in Arizona). This year, we had our Arizona trip over Zoom. We scheduled our Zoom calls for our favorite parts of our trip, like our afternoon happy hour in Old Town at the Rusty Spur. Tom and I even put a funny Zoom background up, took pictures and sent photos to everyone asking where they were. (Tom's idea )
